To nurture and inspire women and girl’s participation in sport, by providing funding to support athletes, coaches, and officials based in greater Ōtautahi Christchurch. These scholarships will grow their exposure and success, and by sharing their stories to other athletes it will create the ripple effect of inspiration to yet more women and girls who can see what’s possible.
Four grants will be issued each year. Two grants will be allocated to athletes, one to a coach, and one to an official/administrator.
To kick things off, we’re looking for 100 generous philanthropists to donate $1,000 forming the core of our club of supporters.
As a donor of our special “sports club”, you can come along to four events every year. You’ll hear from coaches, athletes and of course the recipients of the sports scholarships. What’s more you can bring along a young female as your guest to inspire them.
What part will you play?

Give the Gift of Light and Celebrate the diversity of our city. This fund has been launched, as a legacy for the South Island Moon Festival. The fund will add to, and refresh the city's lantern collection.
Our city has a proud history of women facilitating ground-breaking societal change. In order to recognise this, and to ensure this proud legacy continues, we have formed this fund to support women and girls in our city who are change-makers.
