Update from Raf Manji

Over the last month I have met with a number of affected individuals and families, as well as small groups, community organizations and government agencies. The feedback I have received to date has been very helpful in shaping my thoughts as to appropriate recommendations to the Christchurch Foundation board. It has been clear that the bereaved and wounded have wanted their voices to be heard directly and the ability to do that has been very helpful. I will continue to have further conversations over the next month and invite those interested to contact me directly.

All meetings are confidential and I am happy to meet with individuals, families or groups, as well as community organizations working to support those affected by the attacks. I hope to have some draft recommendations by the end of September and will then seek further feedback from the community on those. I plan to deliver my final report to the board by the end of October.
