News 'You Are Us/Aroha Nui' concert to be broadcast live on Three

MediaWorks and New Zealand on Air are proud to bring New Zealanders this phenomenal Christchurch fundraising concert on April 17th via a live broadcast on Three starting at 7pm.

The three and a half hour special broadcast invites all New Zealanders to watch the event and join the cause in support of all those affected by the Christchurch terror attacks. With a $3.00 text donation featured throughout the show, 100% of the proceeds of every text will be donated to the Our People, Our City Fund set-up by the Christchurch Foundation.

In support of the Christchurch Foundation, the YOU ARE US/AROHA NUI Christchurch broadcast of the concert will be hosted by the talented duo of Kanoa Lloyd (The Project) and Sharyn Casey (The Edge, Dancing with the Stars NZ), with the event, MC’d by ‘New Zealander of the Year’ Mike King, promising to deliver one of the biggest and most exciting musical lineups ever to be seen in New Zealand.

Chief Content Officer Andrew Szusterman said, “It's a privilege to bring this concert to the country and allow Kiwi’s to be part of this special event.”

This must-see event has a stellar line-up with guest appearances and performances from New Zealand’s most iconic musicians including special guest appearance by Lorde, The Adults, Amitai Pati + Moses Mackay (Sol3 Mio), Anika Moa, Bailey Wiley, Bene, Bic Runga, Boh Runga, Chaii, Christchurch Combined Choir, Dave Dobbyn, Diggy Dupe, Don McGlashan, The Exponents, Hollie Smith, Illbaz, Marlon Williams, Melodownz, Mitch James, Seth Haapu, Shapeshifter, Shihad, SIX60, Stan Walker, Soraya Lapread and Teeks.

Kiwi Musician Stan Walker said, “The horrific attacks affected the whole country deeply, so for all of New Zealand to be able to watch and help raise further funds via text is amazing.”
