Joy is the co-founder and head of One Mother to Another, a grass roots charity which provides care packages to caregivers (particularly mothers) in hospital with their sick child. Joy runs the charity and has responsibility for finding products, packaging and delivery, recruiting volunteers, and running the day-to-day activities of the charity.
This grant will enable us to provide an extra 80 packs per month to two pediatric wards at Christchurch hospital. This expansion is greatly increasing our reach, by providing almost 1000 extra packs each year. These packs will benefit the mothers and caregivers who find themselves in hospital with their sick or recovering child. Wards a7 and b7 have been hit particularly hard by RSV patients and have requested One Mother to Another's support and input.
