We have a gift of $3000 to distribute and we are looking for an artistic recipient for this unique one-off grant.

Internationally acclaimed Shakespearian actor and writer Ben Crystal has given us a grant for a talented actor who needs a little cash to assist them pursue their craft. 

Ben has strong links and a soft spot for Ōtautahi Christchurch having been one of the first actors to perform at the Isaac Theatre Royal after its post earthquake refurbishment. Ben put on a free show at ITR to share some Shakespearean fun with the city.  Ben actively encouraged the audience on the night, to donate to Christchurch, a worthy cause. The monies collected were donations for the people of Christchurch, from the people of Christchurch. Now The Christchurch Foundation, thanks to Ben’s efforts and wishes has been entrusted with this gift for an aspiring young actor to help them with their studies, in the pursuit of their trade.
